Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has urged the Black Stars to give local players more chances in the national team.
Asare impressed in his debut call-up, keeping clean sheets in Ghana’s 5-0 win over Chad and 3-0 victory against Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking to 3Sports, he emphasized that home-based players deserve recognition if they perform well.
Otto Addo has confirmed Asare as Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper, with expectations high for upcoming matches against Chad and Mali in September.
