Kennedy Agyapong has arrived in Ghana following a legal battle in the US with investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
A U.S. court recently dismissed Agyapong’s request for a mistrial after a jury ruled in favor of Anas in a defamation case.
His legal team had also sought to reduce the $18 million in damages awarded to Anas, arguing it was excessive.
Despite these setbacks, the former Assin Central MP received a grand welcome from his supporters at Kotoka International Airport upon his return.
